The next part of our journey took us to Edfu. We started the day before sunrise. Our group took a van, however, it was a traditional to make the trip from the docks to the temple by horse-drawn carriage. There were dozens upon dozens lined up as the boat unloaded at five in the morning for the trek.

The temple was beautifully lit up for the morning visit. As we toured the site, the sun came up and gave it a new look.

Then we continued our sailing through the day. It took us through the locks which was an interesting experience.

Finally, we arrived at Luxor. We had our turn in the carriage for a tour of the old city. Luxor was the cleanest and most modern of the cities we visited. The promenade was wide and clean and had several Western themed restaurants.

The following day was a busy one. We started with the Valley of the Kings.

We then swung over to the tomb of Hetshepsut.

We wrapped up the tour with a visit to Karnak Temple.
