It’s on the great Pixies show we caught at Seattle’s Paramount Theater the night of June 24, 2025. They played all the definitive Pixies hits. It was the second night of a two-night stay at the venue. The first night , they did Bossa Nova and Trompe le Monde in their entirety. I think we have now seen the Pixies with each of their various bass players. Interesting thing about the set, they did not say a word to the crowd. No, Hello Seattle!” No “Howya feeling tonight?” Nothing. Just a brief wave when they came on, they played the set, and waved as they left. No chitchat, no encore, nothing. I kind of liked that. Kurt Vile was the opener.
