We got a chance to see Paul Simon at Seattle’s Benaroya Hall. Obviously, he is a fantastic songwriter and we were excited to see him for the classics. He performed in two parts. The first half of the night was new stuff. He had a large band and played new pieces he had been working on. I’ll just say the reception was polite. During the second half of the show, he did the hits. He was joined on a couple numbers by his wife, Edie Brickell. Not my usual cup of tea, but I’m glad I got to see him.
